Miss Picasso and Ruskin, the muse

Zaynah has been busy contributing to the art world, and her work has been displayed for the summer at Blakesley Hall. It all started when the her school invited pupils to participate in the Birmingham Museum Inspire 2019 Art Competition, the theme this year was Family.  Zaynah came home bursting with ideas, but no matter how hard I tried to include myself in her art, Ruskin was her muse. Off they popped with the art supplies, canvas and other bits and pieces to create a masterpiece.

The result was a beautiful picture of Ruskin, complete with white fur, pipe cleaner whiskers and a collar with a bell (which Zaynah would love if Ruskin would wear) and it was selected for the display. We were invited to the exhibition along with up to 4 family members.  So Zaynah, me, mom, Aunty Di Di and Aunty Yvonne, who was visiting from Barbados, went to Blakesley Hall for the grand unveiling.
